Terms & Policies
Commission policy:
All terms and conditions of commission work are outlined in the "Commission Agreement" to be entered into by both the artist and the patron preceding the commencement of work on the commissioned piece, or pieces, by the artist.
Commission work produced by Joshua Loberg Fine Art is made bearing in mind the unpredictable nature of poured paintings. Requests may be made regarding colour, dominance of frame, or any aesthetic preference, but the artist retains full creative rights and capacity to modify the art or ignore requests as required to make the work balanced and beautiful. Commission work is accepted and commenced upon only after a deposit for half of the total price of the requested work has been received by the artist, all deposits are non-refundable. If a situation should arise where the patron is dissatisfied with the initial result the artist will make a second rendering, without cost to the patron, to better suit the patron's preferences.
pricing policy:
Commission work is produced at a base rate of $155 per square foot, subject to change accommodating increasing cost of materials for exclusive demands and large canvas. Greater costs are incurred on larger canvas, steel sheet, mirror, specialty paints, multiple layers of resin, etc. All pricing parameters and additional expenses to a commission piece will be outlined in the "Commission Agreement" produced for the patron by the artist, or by his appointed representative, upon negotiation of the cost of work and settlement of terms.
Warranty of work policy:
Warranty terms are laid out in the terms and conditions of the "Commission Agreement". The artist holds responsibility for the state of the work up until the satisfaction of the terms of the "Commission Agreement" has resulted in transfer of ownership from the artist to the patron.
Resin Art is subject to subtle shifts in colour scheme over time, the patron should anticipate a slight yellowing of any resin based work over time. Damage to any work incurred following transfer of possession from the artist to the patron by any means, excluding as a result of poor workmanship by the artist, will be repaired at the expense of the patron. If any maintenance or repair of the Commissioned Works is required that affects the artistic integrity of the Commissioned Works, the Patron agrees to contact and seek the advice of the Artist before effecting any maintenance or repair. The Patron agrees that the Artist shall have a right of first refusal to carry out any such maintenance and repair.

The artist may elect, for an agreed upon fee, to personally deliver the commissioned work to the patron at the sole expense of the patron.
